Took this on a multi-day camping trip where we wanted to do some stargazing and wildlife observation after dark. The infrared kicks in smoothly, and the mount doesn't wobble or shift once locked down. Decent battery life. Only reason I'm not giving five stars is the learning curve on the controls was steeper than I expected, but user error, not product error.
Used this for predator hunting in pitch darkness and the difference is night and day compared to older gear.
